Bir Sweir is the northernmost strip in the chain of beaches between Taba and Nuweiba, and the quietest of them. It is a handful of Bedouin camps on open shore, with no main road running through.
If you want real quiet, shallow water and a reef close in, this is it. There is no nightlife and there are no shops, which is usually the point.
About 30 minutes from the Taba crossing, which makes Bir Sweir the most reachable of the beach strips for anyone coming from Eilat.
Most camps offer simple huts or basic rooms. Check what is in the room first, because air conditioning and hot water are not a given.
A few short questions about the kind of trip, how far from the border you want to be and your budget, and we show only the places that fit - across all of Sinai, not just here.
