About Al Mahash
Al Mahash is a small strip between Bir Sweir and Ras Shitan, with only a few camps on the shore. It is less known than its neighbours, which is exactly what draws people to it.
The feel is Bedouin and plain: huts on the sand, a terrace facing the sea, and food served on site. The reef sits very close to shore along almost the whole strip.
Getting to Al Mahash
About 38 minutes from the Taba crossing, on the coast road.
Signage at the camp entrances is sparse. Message the place ahead so they know to expect you, especially if you arrive after dark.
