About Taba

Taba is the first thing you see after the border crossing, and the only part of Sinai you can reach on foot from Eilat. It is a small place: a few large hotels on one strip of shore, with no town around them.

Anyone looking for a Bedouin camp on the rocks will not find one here. Taba is proper hotels with rooms, air conditioning and meals, and it suits a short break or a first night before heading south.

Getting to Taba

Five minutes from the Taba crossing, so you can clear the border and be at the hotel within the hour. No long taxi ride needed.

That closeness also makes Taba the safe choice if you arrive late in the evening and would rather not drive the coast road in the dark.
