The Dunes is the stretch south of Nuweiba port, where the mountains come closer to the water and the beach narrows. There are only a few places to stay, and all of them are small.
It is unusually quiet because it sits beyond the familiar run of camps, and the view opens straight across to Saudi Arabia.
About 65 minutes from the Taba crossing, a little past Nuweiba.
You are a real distance from the shops in town, so pick up what you need before carrying on south.
A few short questions about the kind of trip, how far from the border you want to be and your budget, and we show only the places that fit - across all of Sinai, not just here.
